Appearance & Manner

Aelric carries himself with practiced arrogance: theatrical gestures, a sneer never far away, and a habit of giving orders as if obedience is a law of nature. He is quick to smirk, quicker to threaten, and most dangerous when he realises fear will not work.

Personality

  • Entitled: treats people as possessions, problems, or entertainment.
  • Vindictive: escalates when challenged or embarrassed.
  • Predatory: uses isolation, power, and intimidation to corner those with less protection.

Role in the Story

Aelric targets Suraia and Vasha in a back-alley confrontation, demanding gold and bringing others to enforce his will. When resisted, he turns violent and attempts to take what he wants by force. The incident becomes more than a street altercation: Aelric leverages his family’s influence to push an arrest request through the watchtower, reframing himself as the victim and the Outcasts as criminals.

Known Associates

  • Jory — a nervous servant who follows Aelric’s orders.
  • Rostan — a burly human guard/enforcer.
  • Lareth — wood-elf youth, an adolescent hanger-on drawn to trouble and one of Aelric’s companions.
