Overview

House Galahan is one of the many noble houses of the humans living on Endorat. The Galahan Estate lies just south of
Enville, perched on the cliffs overlooking the city, the sea, and the roads leading toward the gates.

It is believed that in the distant past House Galahan may once have owned or governed Enville, though whatever authority
they held in those days has long since passed. Despite the house’s reputation for gallantry and purity, the Galahans do not
maintain a private army and do not mingle in battle. Instead, they are known for commerce, maintaining trade ties and business
partners across the Xaverion Islands.

Wealth and Alliances

Though House Galahan holds little land beyond the estate itself, the house remains extremely wealthy. Among common folk, this has
given rise to the belief that the Galahans once sold vast lands in exchange for coin.

The truth is more layered. Over generations, lands that once belonged to House Galahan were gradually given to younger children
who did not carry the Galahan name after marriage. This reduced the lands held under the house itself, but forged powerful alliances
and long-term agreements that proved profitable. In time, House Galahan became land-poor but connection-rich, and their wealth grew
through trade and partnership rather than territory.

Lord of the House

The old House Galahan

The current Lord of House Galahan is Elijah Marius Galahan. He was married to Mary Ellia Connely. They had two children:
a son, Jonathan Galahan Connely, and a daughter, Juliana Galahan Connely.

Lady Mary died of disease when the children were still young. Despite repeated pressure to remarry, and the willingness of other
noble houses to offer matches, Lord Elijah never took another wife.

Tragedies of the House

In her seventeenth year, Juliana attended a ball where an attack took place. She was among the young nobles who lost their lives
that tragic night.

Consumed by grief, young Jonathan sought to join the Xaverion Knighthood and avenge his sister’s death before taking his place in
the family’s affairs. Lord Galahan agreed, as his son was still young and he himself was not too old to continue managing the house’s
business.

On Lunaday in the cycle of Garandar in the season of Ysandra in the year 20, Enville was attacked by Sirens. Jonathan died defending
the city that day.

The Question of Heirship

With both his children lost and no other acknowledged living members of House Galahan, Lord Elijah must appoint a new heir. Many nobles
have presented daughters as marriage candidates, and widowed noblewomen have approached him as well, yet he has given little response.

Wanderers League

Lord Galahan is a great supporter of the Wanderers League. For a time, he sailed with the Rising Tide for a couple of cycles before
returning to resume his business dealings.

Elisabeth White and the Enville Medical Centre

Lord Galahan, Elisabeth and Abigail

During the cycle of Milimi in the season of Ysandra in the year 21, Lord Galahan purchased a house in Enville for a young woman named
Elisabeth White, a healer by trade. Since then, he has been seen visiting her and spending time in her company.

Not long after, Lord Galahan invested a considerable sum into opening a medical centre in Enville, built beside the house he purchased.
The arrangement has been the subject of much quiet curiosity. Some speak of patronage, others of personal devotion, and others still
of motives best left unspoken.

Elisabeth is also known to be a mother; her daughter, Abigail, is sometimes seen in her care.

Annual Ball of the Fox and the Hunter

House Galahan is host to the annual Ball of the Fox and the Hunter, the first of the four major noble balls of the year, held on
Luna Noent Thoron during the Festival of Blossoms. To receive an invitation is widely regarded as one of the highest honours among
the nobility of the Xaverion Islands.
